I hear you and no I don't think at 16 I have had my last. I'm sure the time to time thing will be the same here. I have read about girls as old as 20 still getting spanked if living at home and making bad decisions. It has also been made clear to me that behavior, not age determines the outcome. Yes, as I get older what is expected of me increases with time. I'm certainly not expected to repeat some of the things I did at 13 or 14. As you know, it's been a few months now and a session on the table stays with you. I think that's the point. BTW I was hanging out with dad upstairs in his study last night and he happened to be conditioning the strap. Even when I know I'm not in trouble, the sight of it makes me nervous. About my uncle. Yes ma'am. He knew EXACTLY what those sounds were. He later told me when we were talking that he was not aware that I was disciplined in the nude. He also was surprised that the door to dad's study was not closed and when he saw that, he could not resist. I do kinda understand that. As far as mom and dad waiting ma'am. I have to take responsibility on that. I was asked if I wanted to wait or get it overwith now. My uncle was there for two more days. I chose to do it when he was still there. I didn't expect him to come up and watch and to be truthful ma'am, the door was the last thing on my mind as dad was getting ready to begin. I'm doing my best to not act dangerous. At least that's what I found when I was getting it growing up and yes, at 20, if needed, I got it. If you could make a choice between the strap and being punished some other way, perhaps grounded, I have two questions. Which do you think would be more beneficial to help you grow to be the person you want to be? Second, and honestly, if you had a choice going forward between the strap or a different punishment, which would you choose? I can totally identify with the sight of the strap making you nervous. I really fear that strap ma'am and that's what makes it effective. I would not fear grounding like I do the strap. As much as I hate it, honestly, that strap is very beneficial and I can hardle believe I said that. I hate it, hence isn't that the whole idea? So I guess I would have to say I would choose the strap cuz that is what I really fear and hate. I heard dad threaten mom once. I can't remember what it was. I think she overlooked a bill or something. I heard him say "Well Ann I know how effective the leather is on Jan." Or something like that. He was joking though, well, I think!!!!! He seems quite expert with it and someone who is happy to use it to help others. Plus, a disciplinarian at heart. I have to wonder if he's not had to help your mom with it and the closest you've come to knowing is his mention of how effective it was to your mother. Dad is very skilled with the strap. Dad works a lot from home so when I'm away like at school, who knows. Neither of them have ever said anything.
