The way you have described dad spanking your older sister such that he could see her bottom cheeks ripple leaves little doubt as to his deriving pleasure. I've also read comments to the effect that although a father may derive some pleasure from disciplining his teen daughter, if the discipline is truly deserved and of course he does not act on the pleasure he derives, in essence, no harm no foul. I doubt that you agree with that logic having gone through that as a teen and I'm not sure I agree either. I have seen this logic posted, again, more than once. Thoughts? I think the switch or birch was to much. Hairbrush, yes. You should not have been spanked for things like dropping a glass. That's an accident, could happen to anyone. I would say on the room, if you had been asked multiple times and just blew it off, yes maybe that was deserved. Everyone is different so I agree, some teenage girls would consider spankings positive, some negative. I understand your position. Yes, I deserved some of the spankings I got but overall I think it was only a fraction of those that really was deserved. When I participated in bullying another girl I certainly deserved the spanking (but perhaps not with a birch rod, but I agree that even an ordinary spanking with hand/hairbrush across the knees in front of the victim could have been deserved). But spankings I got for forgetting tidy my room or by mistake dropping a glass on the floor certainly were no reason for a humiliating bare bottom spanking. We all have different experiences and different outcomes with how we turned out but I have read a lot and also heard from women who feel the spankings, especially spankings given in the teens, had a very negative impact on their mental well-being. Having said that there are obviously women who were not that affected. I am not pro-spank, especially not for teenage girls.
