Subject: Teens in the South Author: Franert [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 17:57:07 07/09/25 Wed I teach an Advanced Placement class in a local high school in the south. The students range from 15 to 18 years old. During some free time, a few months ago, the students were talking about the ass beatings they still get at home. Most of the kids admitted to still getting them. One girl said that her month would beat her ass with whatever was handy and then her father would give her an Ass Whoopin with the belt, when he got home. She then told about the time that her father made her wear long pants to summer day camp, because of the marks on her legs from an Ass Whoopin. They lived in the north at the time and were afraid of being reported to the authorities. The black kids (male and female) appeared to be beaten more harshly by the way they described the implements used and the severity. I kept my mouth shut during all this and didn't ask the questions that often get asked on this forum, like what they were wearing. These kids did not seem embarrassed by this and seemed proud of it. Although, I wonder if some of them cry like little kids afterwards. In my day, no one would ever had admitted still being smacked at home at that age. A 16-yr old was given 5 swats of the paddle for disrupting her class and her parents sued the school. We now either get a text from the school or a phone call.
