 If it hadn't been the 1960's I would have probably been diagnosed with ADD. I wasn;t openly defiant, just too slow to listen is mny cases.

I don't know how any spankings I ever got from anyone resulted in defiant actions during the punishment.

Maybe as I got older I could keep from reacting to the first part of the hand spanking, but when the hair brush, bath brush or belt was applied it was impossible show any form of defiance and crying, screaming and kicking were out of my control and a direct result of the punishment being given.

Any form of defiance before or after a spanking just resulted in a repeat spanking so that was self-defeating all around.
