No spike because my boys who are 8 and are spanked more often when they are home from school during the summer and week long holiday breaks. My 8 and 11 year old son has been spanked once each on different nights for these bedtime issues since school started, the older arguing his bedtime the younger not staying in bed and he would not quiet down.
