Thank you very much for sharing, Trish! I can relate. I was also raised by parents that were firm believers in real spankings - like you, always over the lap and bottom bare. I absolutely hated it then (as any child or teen should), but thankful for the discipline now.

That reminds me that a while back my youngest said something like “mom, you have no idea how much that hurts!” after a sound spanking. I could not help but chuckle when I explained to him that I know exactly what it feels like, explaining to him I was spanked growing up as well. I guess that never really crossed his mind!

I am glad to hear that you and your husband are on the same page regarding spanking. That is so important.
