I too let them cry as long as they need to get it out of their system. I so much love the dancing and twirling that Mary wrote about. I feel I've earned the show and I'm in no rush for it to stop. Same with the cuddling. lots of patting and holding and just rebuilding and reestablishing that whole connection. Often one or the other is sitting in my lap but as my son has gotten bigger we are often lying down like a couple of spoons. The bottom line (so to speak) is that I'm in no rush for their emotions to slow down or stop. They can take their time and get it all out.
