 Hello I’m Kimberly, 43, and the mom of 4 kids, my oldest girl Andie is 14, I have twins, boy and girl, Michael and Hailey, 12, and my youngest boy Ryan who is 9.

We are a traditional values, “red state” kind of family and, yes, all 4 kids are spanked and will be until we find it no longer find it effective. My husband and I both spank, wooden spatula for minor and average offenses and the dreaded hairbrush for serious offenses. Yes, we spank on their bare bottoms and we don’t care if other family members are present to see it. Our means might. E considered outdated by some but for us they work. There is no abuse in our house, we raise our kids in a manner we believe to be stern but fair.

Why do we spank? It works. We were both spanked and turned out fine, as successful, well-adjusted adults. Our kids are good kids, good students, involved in extra curriculars and are with their respective cohorts “popular” crowd.
