Carol,

Yes, bending over Mom's knee quickly after she has bared your bottom is desirable to minimise exposure of the boy's front to whoever may be present (and including his mother).

A good tactical compromise with your 13yo son in allowing him to keep his undershorts up for spankings with the caveat that he would get his protected bottom leathered with a belt rather than be spanked on the bare bottom with Mom's hand. As you say, very telling he jumped at the suggestion. Glad you kept that option in reserve though, as the 3 bare bottom spankings since he turned 13 illustrate..
