All of my children are grown now. But I did have shared spanking permission with a number of my children's friends while they were growing up. More often that not, their friends were spanked at my home than the other way around, as the kids spent the most time over here. But there were times that my children did receive spankings when playing or sleeping over at a friend's house. Or, when they got spanked by a babysitter.

Kelsey, count me as another Mom that almost always gave a follow-up spanking if my children earned a spanking under the care of another Mother (or their sitter). Part of it was like Mary where most of them did not give them what I felt was a proper spanking and therefore I made sure they received the spanking that was needed.

But the other part was because I always made it clear to my children that I always expected good behavior while they were at their friend's house/being babysat. And if I found out they misbehaved, they would receive a good, hard spanking. So their spanking wasn't so much just for the actual misbehavior that earned a spanking while away from home, especially if they were spanked properly already for it, but because they disobeyed me by misbehaving and needing to be spanked. Some may feel that to be strict, but they were warned and knew what was expected.

Now, I didn't always give a 'full' follow-up spanking at home, as it really depended on how they were already spanked. If it was a mother, like with Mary, that did not give as thorough of a spanking, I certainly did give a full spanking. But if my mother, or my youngest sister babysat one of my children, both of them can spank with the best of them. So a good, sound spanking with my hand on their bare bottom was definitely sufficient.
