I think a spanking is effective if the behaivor chances afterwards. If a light spanking does the job why not?

I do not have to spank that much. 2 spankings this year with 3 kids.
I spank with hand only, but when I spank its always long and hard spankings for my kids. A lot of crying and snot.
My boys do lots of sports so they have muscular bottoms. I always feel my hand afterwards
