Nerilki stroked Ginny's head, hand comfortable on the old canine's forehead. She glared at Knightess for a second, then wipes her face of all anger. Puzzlement takes its place.

"Leave? No, no! Please, stay and talk with me. None of the other Weyrlings have been around much, and what with all the clutches and flights and everything going on, I'm lonely."

Knightess chirped sadly, and repositioned her claws so that they didn't cut through Tath's shirt. She rubbed her dark green/black head against the side of his cheek, and flapped her left wing to stir a small breeze. Nerilki motioned to her two chairs that stood in front of the fireplace, and seated herself in one. She scooped up her needlework, and tossed her hair over one shoulder.

"Tell me some about yourself, Tath. And, please don't call me 'miss greenrider'. I have a name- Nerilki." But her smile took the sting out of her words.
