Author: Neilki(Avianith) Hythe(Ith) Havinka
Subject: Meh, supposed to be Toldeo, not Tiledo. Klinger!
In reply to: Tathan 's message, "I could ask the same about Tildeo..." on 01:01:15 05/29/05 Sun

"Tath, why so tense? Nerilki, look at him!" Hythe exclaimed, frowning. She reached beside her chair for a basket of knitting, hands beginning to work on it without really thinking about it.

"Tath, relax. You're among friends," Nerilki tried to assure him, unsure if she was succeeding. She began to push her needle through tehe fabric again, intending to do a complicated knot-stitch to anchor the start of another egg, and put her embroidery down- again.
"Tath, this is where Cometer and I come to relax, to let go of the rigors of weyrling training. So why aren't you relaxing? Tath, I want out with it. With whatever's bothering you so much you cringe when Grean comes into the room!" Her eyebrows knitted together in a thinly disguised scowl.

True, young Tathan from Southern Boll, friend of Avianyth's, this is a place where you are supposed to relax and calm down. So, why are you so tense? Ith asked. Avianyth rumbled, amused.
He has secrets, this one. What shall we do with him?
I don't know. I think he needs a fire lizard.
Agreed, and Knightess is close to flying.

"Aunt Hythe, where'd that little two-faced wherry go?" Havinka demanded, bursting through the door before Tath could answer.
"What two-faced wherry? Haven't seen any wherries lately, much less a two headed one," Hythe said seriously, a tiny amused smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.
"That useless brother of mine!" Havinka took a deep breath, and attempted to calm down. It didn't work.
"Grean went to the Hatching. And what have you been doing?" Nerilki answered for her friend, taking in the state of Havinka's clothing.
"Running after herdbeasts! And getting into a fist-fight with one of the boys."
"Not again, Havinka!" Hythe's voice took on a tired accent.
"He was annoying, Aunt Hythe!" Havinka protested, going to her three-drawer chest, and pulling out a presentable outfit.
"That's still no excuse for fighting! I think I'll talk to the headwoman about your work in the kitchens. This constant rife has to stop sometime!"Havinka disappeared into the bathing room, shutting the door securely.
"Don't forget to scrub behind your ears!" Hythe went to the door, and opened it a crack so Havinka was sure to hear.
"Yes, Aunt Hythe!"

"Havinka's in a difficult stage, too. Didn't she say that she liked one of the boys in the kitchens, just yesterday?" Nerilki commented, musing.
"I b'lieve so. My little ones are growing up!" Hythe sounded sad as she picked up her knitting again. A long, medium-width piece of finished work already hung from the knitting needles.
Havinka came out of the bathing room fully dressed in a rich blue skirt, and a white shirt with the sleeves cut off of them. Hythe motioned for her to come infront of her, and held up a hairbrush.
"Not again!" Havinka whined, but came anyways. Hythe began to wield her brush like a dangerous weapon,

"This doesn't excuse you from answering, Tath," Nerilki said as she handed Hythe a hair tie. Hythe took it, and secured the girl's fine hair in a high runner tail.

((Hehe. I was practically raised on M*A*S*H*, The Beverly Hillbillies, Star Wars, Lost in Space, Red Skelton, and the cheesy movies(like Ever After, various romances, and embarassing books). Ah, well. Cheese is good for your eyes! Where'd that come from? Oh yeah, Stupid trivia, seventh grade edition, Amanda. The question what what was my favourite colour!!))
