Hi Alex, isn't it wonderful how our children can walk over anything without any difficulty? Or almost, I talked to my daughter and she says the gravel and salt in the streets still bothers her a little. Now not needed as it's warming up in march and I hope the towns will clean their streets and sidewalks soon! We certainly already did so around the house.
Our children (a girl of 12 and boys of 10 and 14 though their birthdays will be soon) have tough feet throughout the winter, though they walk barefoot more in spring and summer including long hikes. It's wonderful that your daughter has no cracks, mine had a few but could successfully treat them. Now with high arches her feet look quite pretty and the smooth leather pads where they touch the ground are a part of it. Walking barefoot certainly makes her happy and so I hope she can inspire others to follow along.
