Hi! My daughters are 12 and 9 and they have being going barefoot ever since they could walk, I learned with my 12yo that shoes aren't needed and so just accepted when the 9yo didn't want shoes and thats just how they developed. Yes they are in bare feet all year around, on the coldest of days thick wool socks might come out for short trips but they are off at the earliest opportunity. As for school it's quite a progressive school without a uniform so bare feet are fine. In the summer a couple of others can be seen barefoot too.

Great to hear about your daughter too. Sounds just like my girls when they were toddlers and just starting out walking.
