Sounds like Rita is making great progress and learning the barefoot way of life. I found with my daughters that by going barefoot all the time they grew to instinctively know where to step and what to step on and what their feet can and cannot handle.

Hopefully when Rita starts kindergarten she will be able to remain barefoot.
