That's adorable! Most kids are inclined to go barefoot, but positive reinforcement by parents is probably the single-most important influence.

Too many kids in society grow up to be adults with an inferiority complex about their feet, i.e., "They're ugly, smelly things that need to be hidden away at all times", which becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
