This weekend a little festival is held in the village where we stay on holidays. As the weather is rainy they put up a big tent on the central square. There is live music, dance, good food and drinks.
Our children are having great fun, dancing barefoot with their newfound friends. Actually we all decided to go barefoot today which seems to be the best thing to do in warm rain and puddles.
We just listened to a "yodeling choir" performing in traditional clothing (the woman in a dress with apron, the men in pants with ornamental suspenders and vests), wonderful to watch and listen. Then came the local children's choir, wearing almost the same traditional dress but ... all barefoot! You can imagine this was a particularly exciting moment for us but especially for my children.
The party is going on as I write this, next week the weather is supposed to clear up so we have more hikes planned, and time at the lake.
