Absolutely nothing can beat the experience and the feeling of actually going barefoot. Sure, barefoot shoes or skinners can offer health over traditional shoes by are by no means a real alternative to going barefoot.

I did ask my son and daughter how they are coping now, it's colder, and whether or not we should look into buying them some skinners, but both said no! Both are still handling the cooler weather amazingly well and are quite happy with leg warmers for the time being.

I am as a parent extremely proud to be able to say my children have strong well developed healthy feet and have no need for unhealthy shoes.
