Subject: What our daughters love to do

Hi, Lucy and all
My daughter also loves to do gymnastics and tree climbing.
Whenever she notices someone staring at her feet because the might be the only barefoot person in certain situations ... she's not at all embarrassed or uneasy, she gives an endearing giggle and shows her feet, her smile as bright as her soles are dark.
None of the children need much encouragement any more, instead they encouraged me to go barefoot in situations when I wouldn't have done it earlier, such as a walk outside on a cool early spring day, a hike on a grassy mountain, a shopping day in town, or rustling in autumn leaves.
I still think the children get away with going barefoot in a lot of situations when it would be awkward for adults to do so ... and when it's colder I admire their circulation as they choose to go barefoot in coat and legwarmers when I put on my warm boots!
