Subject: Colours Dropping Out

After a year or so of looking at this and other sites, I finally bit the bullet and converted my CC with the Hi Res Upgrade.

Everything appears to be OK with major problems except that the colour seems to drop out from time to time. By that I mean, setting it to 16 colours, the icons in the launcher and the apple menu icon are colour, then later it seems drop to B/W, although the rest of the screen stays whatever colour it is set on. If I change the colour settings, the apple menu and launcher icons change to colours they should be, but when I switch back to the finder it reverts to B/W.

Any ideas anyone what causes this? And how to fix it?

TIA

Carl.
