Having read all the above material twice through and considering it for a while, it still doesn't answer my question.

Has anyone actually succeeded in putting an x400/6360 (Alchemy) board into a PowerCC, and if so, what are the details of this success?

The reason I ask is because although I would prefer using an x500 board, I may be able to get a 5400 board for free from a friend. I'll sit down and troubleshoot it myself if I have to, but I'd be interested to know if anyone else has succeeded at all.
