Subject: Help: CC 6200 Upgrade Problem

Background:

Colour classic - turned out to be in bad condition: Logic board ROMs missing, super glued / cracked case and connectors to Analog board disconnected.

Performa 6200 board + connector from apparently prevously working machine but no battery.

Status:

Chasis mods complete, things fit.
Rewired and checked wiring loom.
Analog board mod complete.

Problem:

On power up without logic board I get +10/11V and +5V as expected at HDD power lead.

But when logic board is slotted in I only get OV, so it looks like the board is shorting the DC power supply - but why? and what do I do about it?

Of course it could all just be junk, but I have no reason to doubt that the logic board is good and I can't find anything obviously wrong with the analog board.

So anyone seen this before and/or have any handy hints?

TIA

Vidar
