"You cannto say 100% percent that Norman Paulsen's story is not true."
Why do Paulsen's believers keep repeating this?
In any event, the question is not whether Atlantis ever existed, but whether an island continent could have existed in the Atlantic just 12,000 years ago, only to be destroyed by an impact.
We can say with certainty that this is untrue. The Atlantic has been researched quite extensively, especially the Mid-Atlantic ridge. It is an area of great scientific interest. It is quite certain that the Atlantic has not changed by any considerable degree in the last few thousand years. If you want to argue that this is only 99.99999% certain, not 100% then you may have a point, but is it a chance that any reasonable person would waste their life pursuing?
