~*~*She thought on that briefly.*~*~

....I shall ask my sisters where the nearest ones have been sighted.

~*~*There was a long pause, during which time another memory started.*~*~

~*~*You found yourself looking out over an ocean from a small beach. It was late at night, and a strangely shaped moon was suspended in the air- a crescent, but overly dramatic, as though a smaller moon was in front of it, blocking the light. It cast a reflecting in the shallow part of the ocean. You noted then that you were surrounded by mountains on all sides, and that this beach was nothing more than a small cove beneath a cliff. There was a cave behind you, but you were essentially living this memory through the eyes of somebody else. There were three other people here with you, as you made your way towards the water. You could hear their voices, as well as your own, speaking in unison. You noted that you could not see any of them clearly.*~*~

1- This is it, then?

2- Seems like it....

3- (This voice was particularly young sounding) I wish we had more time.....

2- Me too, but it can not be helped.

3- Why? Why us?

You- Because it was meant to be.... Come, it is time.

~*~*You saw yourself move into the freezing cold water, and stand in the circle of moonlight- as odd as that was- but it seemed to you that the reflection was a fake. You saw light rising around you in a spiral, and then your vision went white. The next thing you saw, was a flash of red- followed by a very sharp pain in your abdomen. Then, you felt your life simply fading away, and then there was nothing. The memory ended there.*~*~

~*~*Your guardian had come back with her answer by that time.*~*~

The nearest one is apparently working its way here now. It started in Uraia and is currently passing through Aderes, following the diminishing lines of energy that we had used to get there. So, they will be here in perhaps a few weeks. I doubt that they will say anything to Re'Gan or Kyo. And speaking of ages, Re'Gan is not unique. It is not uncommon for injured parents to 'freeze' their children in hopes of them being sort of reborn into a better time period. Re'Gan is, as I said before, of the Elder Breeds. This means that there are more possibilities for her to grow into a powerful gryphon, but she will also bring in MUCH more gold if anybody with a dark heart gets ahold of her. Do not tell this to Kyo, but as an orphaned (Term used because she has no parents raising her) Elder Gryphon, the older creatures at the Gryphon Sanctuary will likely make a push to take her away because it will be safer there. Personally, though- I believe that Re'Gan is strong willed enough to ignore their promises. They will not take her unless she expresses a desire to leave Kyo, which will probably never happen- all things considered.
