Maiko stepped up beside Kibelle, but said nothing. the Sphinx apparently fealt the full impact, and instantly began to claw at her eyes. you shuddered when you saw blood coming from cuts that she was making around her eyes in her moment of distraction, the wind tunnel dropped you back to the ground and died out. something flew through the air- a spell in the form of a dagger. who had cast it, you did not know- but you saw it hit the girl and send her unconcious. the burning in your head stopped shortly after, much to your relief. Maiko walked over to the now unconcious Sphinx, and placed one hand on her forehead. the cuts on her face healed, and you saw her eyes open slowly. something was not quite right- there was no conciousness in her eyes. mind reading, perhaps?*~+~
Maiko- her name is Araeian. she got into the Forgotten Clans when her own clan was destroyed a few generations back. her great grandmother was the sole survivor- and the later generations were gifts from the spirits entirely. so, that would make her a third generation clone. she is aproximately 37,962 years old, just over the age limit to have survived the rebirth of this world. she is one of three who were set to guard the North Cavern-- the other two have apparently left Ashavar after being freed by the people. Araeian remained as a guardian because she was 'too young and inexperienced' to survive in the other worlds.

Maiko- her thoughts suggest that something has taken up residence in the cavern remains. she is willing to kill us to keep us away from it, apparently.

Teyon- wait a moment..... Chili and the others...... that is where they are headed, isnt it?
Kaia- should we get moving then?
Teyon- yes, but i think that they will be fine by themselves. they have a complete Circle..... they will be fine until we get there, and they are not that far ahead of us.
Kibelle- what about her?

Maiko- well...... i would feel bad leaving her here..... and Treyvan would have a fit. Kibelle, can you take her with you?
Ki- probably- but i doubt it wise to take her out of Ashavar.
Kaia- what could it hurt to have a Desert Guardian? if you get her out of her servitude, she wont be bound to this world anymore.... its like freeing Maiko and the others from that.... place.....
Maiko- ....
~+~*Maiko and Kaia vanished slowly, as Meria re-emerged from the under brush. Kibelle thought for a moment, and then picked up the Sphinx, placing her on Meria's back before climbing on himself.*~+~
Meria- ::can you see the ends again, Ki?::
Ki- ::yes.... i think she would have been happy here, just a little longer.....::
Meria- ::does Treyvan know that you are starting to see the ends?::
Ki- ::probably, but he hasnt said anything.....::
Meria- ::whats wrong? you look ill....::
Ki- ::i'm afrade that he will block them from me....::
Meria- ::he wouldnt do that. i may not be an expert on you sevens... lifestyle.... but i know Treyvan well enough. he wouldnt block you. so, what exactly does it mean for an Eyerling to see ends?::
Ki- ::well......::
