Subject: Things to remember

There was a terrible crash in Sealy this weekend and it reminds me how much a cage is needed in bad times..

After passing the finish line 1 car crossed the center line and tagged the other in the rear quarter panel at over 145 mph which flipped it on its roof. The car then skidded back across the lane to the right and caught the grass and stated barrell rolling up on the front end. The car finally rested on its roof. Adams was cut out of the cage with the jaws of life and transported to Houston via Life flight. Later in the evening, LSRP received a message that Adams was OK but going through all the procedures at the hospital. The medical staff, LSRP, the wreckers onhand, and the area Fire Dept. staff did an excellent job of taking care of this terrible accident. The greatest thing is T. Adams is alright, the rollcage did its job, and the car can always be replaced. Great job guys and you are all to be commended for the service you did.

Just something to think about as we keep going faster and faster.
