Someone is attacking Venhydra? My, they've got guts. Perhaps not sound military strategy, but guts. Shame they beat us to it. Yes indeed, we will have blame on our hands. Therefore potentially be facing Fed retalliation for this event, which I don't believe we've a hand in. Therefore leading to we'd best watch our defenses and potentially prepare for a battle. Yet, the key word is potentially. They may not bother doing anything altogether... Doubtful, but they may not.
