tear gas isn't a chemical weapon as far as out use of force continuem goes, neither is pepper spray, pepper spray is the third part of our use of force continuem below hard weapons and fatal force. Theres a reals simple way for protestors to NOT get pepper sprayed or tear gassed, thats follow the LAWS, get whatever permits are required, hell if the KKK can do it you can't tell me anyone can't do it, assemble in a place where you are not impeding pedestrian or vehicular traffic, do NOT intimidate people who do not agree with your protest, if the respective city has laws on volume in reference to loud speakers or bullhorns follow them, if someone gets out of line and the cops say stop it back off ect. ect. then DO IT, and the protest will have NO problems
