Contrary to popular belief Tear Gas is a Chemical Weapon... it is considered that by the United States Military (which I served in for 4 yrs along with the Saint) and The Geneva Convention... in the Military it is known as CS Gas... it is what we have to endure during our training, one wonderful day of inhaling that horrid stuff... Now, it is Illeagal to use CS on an enemy when in a war, but police may use it against a group of rioters or protestors if things get out of hand... That doesn't seem right..if I am fighting Iraqis in a war I should be able to use that to make them surrender...correct... well, not true that would be considered inhumane... remember we live in kinder gentler times, where war is supposed to be nice now... I don't believe in violence as a means to solve any problems... there is a difference between defending yourself and fighting... even though they are considered the same... Yes, the police are doing there jobs... they may be tools as Brian said, but they have minds... as far as supressing force...why not use a really big net... throw it on them and let them get tangled in it... *L* I understand where you are coming from.. its just hard to accept the use of tear gas on people in peace time but not in war time... I mean why not use blistering agent, or nerve agent on the protestors... that would teach them a lesson, not to get out of hand... *L* Just joking about the nerve agent stuff...

PEACE!
John
