Lois, I think the courts have lost their minds. The legislation declaring unborn children to be nonhuman didn't make it. The courts are also considering the process of declaring whales to be human. Perhaps if the whales are hungry, the proabortion glee club participating on Mr. McMurray's website will probably propose next that the "nonvital" fetuses be taken from the dumpster behind the abortuary and fed to the whales. It isn't a stretch. One poster on Mr. McMurray's board, soon after the birth of my first grandchild last November, posted that it was so wonderful that the bill declaring a fetus a person had been defeated, because it would have made trouble for all that group.

BTW, I think that some softening of the traditional post-medieval evangelism of the Christian church could be softened some. After posting on the CARM forums and being told I was going to hell for being former RLDS, I can see how heavy-handed evangelism is with Giselle and Co.

Of course, as in everything, the RLDS leadership is so ready to compromise, that, where only the mere addition of politeness is necessary, they have eagerly dropped their pants to offer the ultimate in hospitality.

We are always caught betweem the two extremes"

1. Those who want to kill the "infidels" and eat them.

and

2. Those who want to marry them, convert to their religion, and bear their children.

That is the ultimate message of the fundamentalism v. liberalism fight. Absolutely no one in any position of authority or influence has anything else to say.

The plan to provide healthcare for Americans turned into a massive project to replace the U.S. Constitution with the Soviet one. The same sort of "revisioning" goes on in the Restored Church, inevitably encountering the same vehement type of "take no prisoners" opposition from the other side.

George
