that the ball was in Fox's court. It also didn't sound like he wanted totally out--he just was tired of having his character always "looking for his little sister." It sounded like he would return if the conditions were right. I also agree--the network hasn't hyped the end--like they are for Friends and other long running shows in the past (Mash, Johnny Carson, Cheers, etc.) so I am more hopeful that we will have a season 8 (and selfishly many more).
