Speaking as a neighbor to the north from Minnesota, if you find those mountains, please let me know where they are! The only things we have ever found in Iowa were lots of corn, pigs (and the smell from their you-know-what), rolling hills and a couple of bad places to eat along the Interstate. Now if you want a variety of scenery, some good food, no pig scent, come on up a little farther north. There is a bike ride happening this weekend I believe--my brother-in-law is riding in it.

Hope you had a good, safe ride and got home safely! As for the possums, they can't be too bright if they don't know enough to stay off the road! Yummy--grilled road kill! LOL
