All this is very interesting but the thing that I really think is right is that all things wasn't the first time. If it wasn't then that does explain why she left in the early hours/middle of the night etc. And also how she came to wake up on the couch and go in to his room and end up in bed with him doing the NP. I think all things was the turning point for Scully where she finally accepted her life with Mulder and i now do think they were doing something before allthings. It just explains those two anamolies. It also explains why Mulder just expected her to hop on a plane and whizz off to England with him. I think it was maybe a bit of an excuse to go away together as well as him thinking they were persuing a mutual interest or passion.

As for when they began to get it on....that's a toughy. I think I'll have to have an XF marathon one weekend and check out every detail. I think it had to have been after Millenium . I think they either got to playing around or even went all the way that very night. It seemed very obvious to me that after that ep things were different between them. They were happy and smiling and Scully wanted to get back to DC before dark in GBV. They were also an obvious couple in that silly whirlpool ep where he was chekcing out that highschool girl and also in FPS when he was obviously teasing her about chekcing out Jade Blue and she was doing a good job of being the jealous girlfriend or whatever. You don't tease a member of the opposite sex by flirting with others unless you expect them to be jealous of you doing it and Scully was. I really think things were on the burner then. SUZ came after those eps didn't it? So I think it was only natural that Scully spent the night with Mulder and in bed with him. I doubt that anything happened that night but I still reckon she was there in a more than friend capacity. It is an interesting subject but one thing I too am certain about now is that allthings was not the first time. Now there are no questions about that first and last scene. I always wondered how she came not to wake up and just go home. And why she left. Now I know. Thanks to Det? IG? whichever one it was who said that. The only thinkg left to wonder about is where the [pre NP] IVF scenes fit in. Oh the joys of disecting XF. I don't think I'll ever get sick of it.

Stardoe, thinking it is nice to have something to say about the MSR on the MSR board.
