So...I was up late the other night and channel surfing and there was Skinner (who really doesn't get enough Shipperville time if you ask me) speaking earnestly in CC's iambic pentameteresque dialog. And I took my finger off the channel button and then...I recognized the episode as "The Truth" and I sighed and settled back in my chair and what should happen after a bit but...

...the KISS. SIGH!

Inspired, I broke out my tapes for a reviewing...or rather I tried to break out my tapes since I had packed them away and could only dig up S7...which was good because I suddenly saw the MSR in all its glory. It was like I slapped myself in the head and said D'OH. I remember feeling all craving and needy and ticked when these episodes aired because we got so little interaction. There was nothing to confirm our shipper certainty...but in light of THE KISS...looking backward...all of those little moments shine like the glaring abduction light above your darkened household.

I was especially taken with the "they aren't romantically involved" in Fight Club which I had suspect at the time might mean..."like us"...but looking at it after THE KISS...it was obvious that was EXACTLY what it meant. And Mulder and Scully were doing it like rabbits (or their Islandgirl dopplegangers). Every meaningful look was about their being so in lurve. Must go watch all of S6 now...back later with more insights...

All Things marks the end of Scully's resistance...she stopped telling herself she was sleeping with Mulder because she wanted him to father her baby and started telling herself he was the one for her.
