Stardoe clutches at her hair. "I can't stand to see you so sad, Mayor!" The Mayor has gone off into a fit of sobbing, since Stardoe has unknowingly just reminded her how much she misses her cat, Beemer. Stardoe glances at the others, trying to figure out what to do. The others just look at her and shrug. Even KS and Kande have stopped chasing each other. Finally, Stardoe has an idea.

"Here," Stardoe lifts her newest creature gently from her head. At least, she tries to, but the thing has its claws wrapped tightly in her scalp. "A little help here!"

KS unsheaths the knife in her belt and hurries forward to help Stardoe dig the creature out of her scalp. "Are you sure you know what you're doing?" she whispers to Stardoe as she starts prying the creature's claws with her knife. "Don't you think that if we were going to start doing animal therapy that you could start with something a wee bit cuddlier? Like maybe an anaconda?"

"Ow," Stardoe hisses at her as KS unhinges one of the claws from her head. The head wound it leaves starts bleeding like crazy. Bubba hands her the dirty towel he's been using to wipe down the bar. She glances over at the Mayor who's sobbing unconsolably next to her. KS glances at her too, but then looks away. Crying makes her nervous. It's about the only thing that does. "Don't worry, the Mayor will love DoDo." Stardoe rolls her eyes to the top of her head to try to see the creature that's just about untangled from her head. She'll hate to give it away -- especially since it was an early birthday gift -- but it looks like the Mayor needs some cheering up. And Shippervillians will do anything to help out a friend. Almost. Sort of.

"DoDo? You named it DoDo? Stupid name for a stupid animal," KS mutters. The creature looks at her with an intelligent glint in its eye and growls at her. "Since when do birds growl?"

CW has had enough. "Just stop it, you two. Give me that." She wrestles the knife away from KS who is wielding it too gently and unceremoniously pries the bird-like creature from Stardoe's head and plunks it into the Mayor's arms. The Mayor abruptly stops crying and stares at it. It stares back.

"Ah..." everyone but KS coos. KS is suspicious of the creature's motives. But since when it that news? KS is paranoid about everything.

The Mayor puts out a tentative hand to pet it. The faint glimmer of a smile begins on her lips. And then abruptly changes to grimace of pain.

"Oh crap!" KS rushes forward and wraps the thing lying on the table into the dirty towel. "Kande! We need a bucket of ice here! And call an ambulance and Aunt Madge!"

Stardoe is staring at the Mayor and the creature. The Mayor is slumped over the table and the creature looks like it has a triumphant smile on its face.

"Crimey! I didn't think it would bite off her hand!"
