Kande immediately stops cranking the ice cream machine and hands it to Bubba. "Table three wants chocolate pistachio ice cream in those large sundae cups, with sprinkles and a cherry on top. When you're done with that, clean the frig and get behind the bar and start serving drinks. Whew, thank God you're better!" She takes off her apron and starts walking over to her sis.

Stuffing the party list in her pocket, KS adopts a nonchalant air, sticking out her tongue at Bubba who is giving her the hairy eyeball. "What's up?"

Kande stretchs her arms over her head. "Bubba's better. It must have been my loving care."

"Or the fact that he was never sick in the first place," KS mutters under her breath. In a louder tone she says "That's nice."

Kande turns to look at Bubba and smiles. "Look, he's giving you the hairy eyeball."

KS shrugs. "Lots of people give me that look."

Kande punches KS lightly on the shoulder, realizes immediately what she's done when KS goes into her defensive karate stance, and backs up quickly. "No, it's a drink. He made it up himself."

KS looks over at the bar. A tall glass with a gelatinous fluid and something round floating in it is sitting there. Bubba smirks at her and tops it off with a dollop of whipped cream and a straw. "Er...no thanks."

"You have to drink it, he went to all that trouble to make it especially for you."

"I'm not thirsty, OK? I've got lots to do." KS starts to shoulder by Kande. Bubba quickly pours the drink into a to-go cup and pushes it at KS. She has no choice but to take it.

Kande beams at KS and then at Bubba. "Aw...that's so nice. People are so lovely as I get older." She floats into the kitchen. KS and Bubba both stare at her, then at each other. Bubba twirls a finger by his ear. KS can't help but agree.

KS straightarms her way through the swinging wooden doors and almost bumps into CW. "CW! No need to go into the Klub, I brought you a drink." She hands the hairy eyeball drink to CW who looks surprised.

"Is it poisoned?" CW asks suspiciously.

"Of course not, Bubba made it."

"Oh. In that case, thanks."

"No problem." KS hitches her artillery belt nervously. "I invited Bob to the party."

"Bob, the Head of the Shipperville mafia?" CW looks puzzled. "Isn't that asking for trouble?"

"Naw, I think the Mayor is hot for him. I think I should invite the guy you were talking with in your garden." KS pulls out her little black address book and silver pen and looks at CW expectantly. "But of course I don't have his address."

CW is amused. KS is so NOT subtle. "And I suppose you want me to give it to you?"

"Along with his name, of course."
