"Somebody will pay for this! Do you know how much hamsters cost?" KS turns to the small group with her hands on her hips. "Does someone think I'm made of money?"

Rabid nudges JD. "I thought you said the hamsters were her favorites?"

"They are." JD clasps his hands beneath his chin, gazing at his honeybunny with tears in his eyes. "This is how KS deals with grief, by distracting herself with miniscule issues."

"Riiiigggghhhttt." Rabid drawls out the word in disbelief. She glances around the room. She notes a pink mohair sweater lying in the corner. "Since when did you start wearing pink, KS?"

KS pounces on the sweater with a look of rage. "That's not mine, it's Melissa's," she spits out. She picks off an L.A. blonde hair. "I see she's dyed her hair again. Where is Melissa, anyway?"

Rabid and KS look at JD expectantly. IG continues to lie unconscious on the floor. JD looks uncomfortable. "She was down here just a minute ago."
