Subject: Rabid snags her sweater set on a rusty nail.

"Oh, fiddlesticks!" she says as she pokes at the loose thread.

"Will you move it?" Kande shoves her from behind. "It's starting to rain!"

Rabid gently unsnags her sweater, then drops to the floor, her sensible shoes make a slight "flumf" sound. Kande lands noiselessly beside her. IG, realizing she shouldn't have gone headfirst but it's too late now, crashes behind Rabid and Kande. She somersaults into the pair and knocks them over.

"What's going on down there?" JD opens the basement door and flicks on the light. He sees the three inept housebreakers sprawled on the floor. "What the...? What are you doing?"

IG stands up and begins to speak. Kande stops her. "Let me." She motions for JD to come down into the basement. He warily joins the trio. "We've received word of a large number of deaths taking place in this house."

JD laughs. "Don't you think I'd know if KS were killing people left and right? I mean, more than usual?"

Kande shakes her head. "No, not people. Pets."

"Pets!?" JD gasps. "That can't be. She loves her pets!"

"Have you seen the hamsters recently?" Rabid interjects. She is still working on the snag.

"But the hamsters are her favorites!"

The refrigerator kicks on behind the stairs. Kande walks over to it, the group following close behind. Taking a deep breath, Kande opens the refrigerator door. IG, seeing the carnage inside, faints. JD turns pale and backs away from the horrid sight.

"Noo....this can't be....I don't believe it...." he mutters.

"Yoo-hoo! Where are you, JD babycakes?" KS's voice is heard over IG's rasping breath.

"I'm outta here!" Kande takes off and vaults out the basement window. Rabid, unwilling to risk another snag, stands her ground. The stairs creak as KS comes down into the basement.

"JD? Are you down here?" She spies JD shivering in a corner. "What's the matter, bumpkins?" He points at the refrigerator. KS walks over and looks inside. She screams, "HEE-HEE!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!" She stops as suddenly as she began. "Somebody will pay for this."

"Uh-oh," thinks Rabid.
