This is amazing, OldSpice.

To start, I have a niece with bi-polar disorder (sometimes called manic depression) and her symptoms are NOTHING like Brians were, so I never bought into the "manic depression" diagnosis given to him by so many people these days. I've always thought he had either some sort of undiagnosed seizure disorder, or a severe chemical imbalance every time I read about him suddenly acting insane and even falling asleep and being unresponsive to attempts to wake him. Your account of his "spell" is in keeping with these reports.

Perhaps such a spell happened in front of that person I mentioned before who called him a "psychopath" when... "he pushed a girl down the basement stairs in his house and stood their laughing hysterically while she cried in pain." I never believed that story, but when you said he shoved you, it gave me chills, and I wonder if that was what this man was referring to? I'd previously thought he was exagerating something minor, but now...well...maybe not.

Unfortunately, Brian's fear of having a doctor see him in this condition KEPT him undiagnosed and untreated. People need medical attention IMMEDIATELY when they're seizing like that! He needed TOUGH love; someone who loved him enough to risk his wrath at their "betrayal" and call a doctor!! Unfortunately, there was no one like that in his life, not even his parents. The fact the Joneses never did anything about his condition adds credence to the claims they never really loved or cared about him, whether that's true or not. Maybe his condition just scared them. Very sad...and tragic.
