He was a pretty laid-back guy. He didn't enjoy confrontations, and usually preferred to walk the other way rather than get involved in one, so Tommy's bluntness almost made him blanch visibly. Really, he probably would have dealt okay hearing those sorts of things from Josh, but Josh's situation was so different from Tommy's. So, he was instantly on the defense, though forced himself to inhale and then exhale slowly before forming any sort of response. "Hey, if you had made the sort of progress with her that you seem to think you have, then I don't think there would be an issue. The thing is, she hasn't said anything to me about having any one else in her life while I was away." He raised his shoulders in a bit of a shrug as they continued to stroll, just as casually despite the potentially tense conversation topic. "You're a persistent guy, Tommy. I mean, it's been years and, from what I understand, still nothing has ever really happened... I just think maybe it's time you moved on. Straight up, man-to-man." He wasn't trying to be hurtful or cause problems, but in all seriousness... If Keila had ever been interested in Tommy 'like that', he was pretty sure she would have said something or acted on it by now. They had had a sort of on-again-off-again relationship for years now, it's not like there was never opportunity for something to happen between the two if they had the sort of chemistry that Tommy seemed to be so desperate for.
