I agree with Griff 100%. No more chances. Time to move on.

Griff,
You did a great job in encapsulating all of my frustrations. Yes, he has unexplicably taken out key players out of the game at critical times. My first recollection was in his first or second year, when he pulled Kassius Robinson in the MAAC tournament when we were fighting to stay in the tournament. We were struggling from the field and Kassius was clearly our best offensive ballplayer. We, obviously, lost the game. Next year, Robinson transfers and goes on to star at MISSOURI.
In terms of the shroud of secrecy surrounding Stravesky and Long, I still don't know what is going on beyond this vague note that they have lower leg injuries that will keep them out the rest of the season. I beleive they don't lose the year of eligibility. It's easy to speculate what the possibilities are.
It's, of course, frustrating to see Tre get beat up on the court without much help given the players they have. Maybe coach is trying, but I can't see much to free Tre up to get him an open shot. I do respect the efforts of all of the team, but the bench isn't very deep or highly talented.
Frank has been a monster on the boards and on the inside. If the Griffs are lucky, Frank will be around next year.
I wish the entire program a successful future, but it is abundantly obvious what are some of the needced changes that are needed.

Change is hard for everyone. Sticking with what you have when it's not working doesn't make any sense.

Change at least offers new enthusiasm which is greatly in need at this point. Agree that Reggie needs to be given some leeway based on the spate of injuries but the comments that Griff made above are hard to ignore, really thought that Reggie was going to keep his job with the way team started and the talent we have/had. Being able to get Mitchell here deserves some serious credit to coaching staff as well as some of the other pickups as well but his handling of players over the years is strange but of course we really have no inside knowledge of what might have been happening. Does Reggie at this point offer us the best hope for some resurgence of the program both on the court and with supporters, most likely not, is there a Greg Paulus type coaching candidate out there for us, only time will tell.

We all agree. Finding a Greg Paulus type would be welcomed. This current chapter needs to come to a close. Go Griffs!

Re: Canisius/Niagara Game Highlights + Witherspoon Reaction -- Paulus?, Fri, February 09 2024, 6:42:58
What’s so great about Paulus? Watched the purple pigeons against Iona. Niagara’s best strategy seems to be get down by 20 and put the other team to sleep. Bad defense Bad offense. Pass the ball around the perimeter and then go one on one. He has some decent players but his coaching is not impressive. The Taps was pretty dead too. Light crowd.

Mike is has found his groove at Daemen. Let’s at least run a process. Typical Canisius answer, no vision, hire a local guy. SMH. Prayers for Jim. Go Griffs!

I think NU lucked out with Greg Paulus. He is certainly a good guy, and is getting the job done on Monte Eagle Ridge. I'm really concerned when it come to hiring a new coach. the Griffs haven't had too much success in this area. Remember the hiring of Marty Marbach, when we alredy had Vangundy on the staff. At this time, I believe the best and most logical choice to take the program over would be Mike Mac Donald. Go Griffs PS does anyone have information on the condition of long time Griff fan Col. Jim McNicholas. I heard he is in ECMC.
