Re: Scholarship -- Griff, Thu, November 21 2024, 12:56:50
As with most freshmen who get redshirted, they both have things they need to get better with before they are game ready. For Easterling, it's physical maturity (He's 6'11" and 210 lbs.) and developing his game offensively - he averaged 4 points a game as a high school senior. It's my understanding that him redshirting was understood when he signed. For Jackson, it's not so much the physical part (he's a very good rebounder and defender) but has work to do with his shot and game on the offensive end.

With Easterling I definitely understand. But Jackson, It’s really a head scratcher for me. He is probably your best on ball defender on the team. He can get down hill better than anyone outside of McMillan. I understand the shooting part of it. It’s crazy that we have a team this bad and kid who can contribute to winning isn’t playing because he needs to improve 3 point shooting.
