((To join the Pat Benatar conversation of before—she’s brilliant! ^_^ And I’m what, 14?))

This sudden darkness fills the air

She’d noticed him!

The blue let out a loud trill of pure joy at her shriek, knowing that she’d acknowledged him as a player in her game! Thrumming much like an over-excited fledgling, he does a few loops, pivoting on his wingtip to swivel back into his place behind her glimmering, beautiful form. His eyes whirled with determination and glee, but most of all yearning.

Of course, it was more difficult to fly in the lower thermals, but why should that bother him? For her, he’d fly hours in such air—no, worse! How could he abandon the flight where he was drawn in to the lovely form of an emerald goddess? He gave a small snarl of challenge back to the other blue. Silly creature, trying his patience! So what if the other blue was more experienced than he? He was in it to win, and would not turn tail and fly because the competition was angry with him! If he caught Massath, it would prove he really was the superior of the blue in this flight, experience or no!

What are we waiting for?
Won’t anybody help us?

With a rush of lavender wings, the sapphire follows the second shriek, knowing it’s a scream of challenge. He angles upward, but is thrown into a muddled state of mind as he’s thrown sideways in his flight by the need to follow right behind the emerald tail, which incidentally turned along with the rest of Massath’s shimmering form. He zigzags around, trying vainly to predict her moves for the first few times. However, if becomes clear in no time that these moves were spasmodic and without pattern. To follow her, he’d have to concentrate on the tail tip, make sure not to let the constant point move from his vision through the loops and zags that left him so befuddled yet exhilarated.

Abeoth raced through the skies to Massath, eyes whirling in excitement as she taunted them. He’d fling himself futilely through the air, only to shriek again in the gleeful chase as she evaded him yet again. She was definitely a force to be reckoned with in her lustful joy, and he knew he had to please her, do something to stand out and grab her attention away from Scarth and completely to her!

What are we waiting for?

The blue gave a loud trill as she started her plain ascent, his eyes whirling as he watched her rise, the lights refracting off her beautifully as if called upon by a heavenly being. Ripping his wings through air, he rocketed higher, feeling his soul lift but never, EVER taking his eyes off the glistening green. As they ascended, he turned a wingtip downward, and spun a complete circle, back winging and flipping his tail over his haunches in an airborne summersault. Swinging back into rhythm, he soars in an arc through the air, letting his excess energy burn as he circled higher and higher above the ground. However, he always made certain not to let Scarth surpass him. In the corner of his eyes, the older blue could be seen, and he tried hard to keep level as he let his wings take to the air in a wonderful show of vitality.

He pulled his wings down hard, making a snapping noise and sending air downward, rocketing upward once more, no arc. However, he gave another burst of energy, and jutted his right wing outward, pushing air and sending himself spinning into an eccentric spiraling flight pattern. He gave another cry as he flew upward, spinning for quite some time before abandoning his spiral. He couldn’t be boring and try just the one trick, could he? Ducking his long neck, he went in for a loop, and spun suddenly before finishing his circle, and started back upward, zigzagging slightly before deciding to focus completely and utterly on the situation at hand.

We can’t afford to be innocent
Stand up and face the enemy...

He had to get to her somehow. He pulled himself higher by force, his wings starting a dull ache. He’d never done as much aerobics in one flight before! However, such a thing as his own drowsiness would NEVER make him admit defeat. He’d fly another hour, if the flight lasted so enough.

He leveled out above the clouds, his eyes never leaving her luminescent form. His eyes whirled, and he gave a chirp as he watched her cruise. Flying towards he so as not to let Scarth get in front of him, into her favor, he called to her. He was ready for whatever happened next!

It’s a do or die situation
We will be invincible...

(Ok, GC. Making sure I know of all the plans and such. ^_^;; We haven’t had talked about Halzay much lately, so... yeah... I was kinda wondering if anyone remembered her. ^_^))
