All numbers based on the numbers danced, not numbers registered. WMH count in dancer total but are skipped over in awarding WQ spots because they are automatically qualified. Dancers who WQ at NAIDC are not skipped over.

Formula:

5 WQ for first 20 or part of 20 dancers.
1 additional WQ for every additional 10 or part of 10 dancers.
If comp is split, figure total number of WQ spots as if comps were not split and divide by 2.

No idea what they do for odd number of WQ spots for splits or if the splits end up with severely uneven numbers due to no shows.

Disclaimer: I think this is all correct but I’m sure someone will correct me if I got something wrong.
