Subject: Historically it's not a competition where their magic aka cheating, works. They typically only send dancers good enough to win without cheating. Their current roster is bare. They've got pull at GBs and you'll see them send a bunch over dancers there.

Wild take for a studio that somehow has 30+ World Qualifiers, international podiums, and multiple professional dancers performing in Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.

Cheating doesn’t put dancers on international professional stages — elite training and real talent do.

If that’s what a “bare roster” and “not successful” looks like, I’d hate to see what 30 years of doing the same broken thing in the name of tradition without results looks like. 🫠

Facts are stubborn little things — especially when they’re inconvenient and don’t match the storyline someone’s trying to sell.

Guilty as charged: I’m 100% a fan of The Academy, even knowing they’re not exactly a fan favorite and that rumors love to follow success. Results still matter to me. When a studio consistently produces World Qualifiers, international podiums, and dancers on global stages, that tends to earn respect — even if it doesn’t earn popularity.

Opinions are free. Results still require work.

[> [> [> [> [> How would they do clean--relative to other Central Ohio schools? -- Curious George (more inside), 00:34:48 02/25/26 Wed (d-23-244-51-237.oh.cpe.breezeline.net/23.244.51.237)

I'd be curious to know how a "clean" Academy would do vs. the other schools in the area (Richens, Irwin, RRH, ML Academy, Dwyer, Shamrockers, etc.). I think they'd still place very well but not as high as they usually do.

I'm a stats nerd :) The other schools are extremely sharp too; it's not like the Academy is going up against JV teams...would be a very, very balanced and awesome competition/dogfight, feis in and feis out...how it's supposed to be.

One of the coolest aspects I've discovered about this sport is the amount of school rivalries, battles on the thinnest of margins. Not unlike figure skating in the Olympics! Very similar in that regard.

[> [> [> [> [> [> Looking at results from the Sunday Richens-Timm Feis, the panel was selected by JT & HT themselves, which some may view as a particularly controlled panel. Across the 600- & 700-level competitions, Academy dancers placed in the top three 25 times, while RT dancers placed in the top three 16 times, including at least two placements by dancers who have since transferred to the Academy. Based on the published results, the Academy recorded more top-three finishes at these levels. -- No name, 14:26:48 02/25/26 Wed (ip-131-241-83-233.dynamic.fuse.net/131.241.83.233)

Doing what’s best for your child isn’t “crazy”—it’s called parenting.
Healthy programs earn trust; they don’t demand submission.
“Follow my rules” isn’t leadership when it comes from a demand for control. We’re allowed to reJecT diRecTion rooted in ego and a need for control.
Removing a child from an unhealthy, abusive dynamic isn’t drama—it’s protection. That’s what healthy parenting looks like.
And any adult who tries to manufacture tears from a child, then cRiTiques them for not performing “enough remorse,” forfeits any claim to authority over someone else’s kid.

There is so much bitterness in your "code" language. (What are you? A teenager?) Must be a former RT. It also sounds like you were kicked out, rather than a simple transfer to A. People transfer all the time. But you sound resentful, bitter, and definitely do not sound like you were ready to move on. Sucks to be you.

Continuously questioning repeated transgressions isn’t drama—it’s accountability.
We were asked to leave for questioning a system that lines pockets, herds dancers, holds dancers back to feed egos, coasts on “30 years of tradition,” and ultimately lacks the skills to make dancers better. We couldn’t be happier to have this decision stated.

No code—just judgment. If it baited you into responding, that worked.

Oh, and the irony of accusing immaturity while replying “sucks to be you” is almost impressive.

Facts don’t lie, even when feelings do.
Different panels, same results. Over and over. Public results. Repeated outcomes across feiseanna, regions, and seasons.

“Let it go” is usually what people say when the ReceipTs get inconvenient. This isn’t a vendetta — it’s math. 📊

If you’re happy at your school, truly love that for you. Stay put. Enjoy the vibes. Excited to see your traJecTory.

And if families keep “happily” fleeing, well, patterns have a funny way of telling on themselves. 👀🍀
