I too recently started the vb course and i read PC Plus comp magazine and not even one month after i had started the course i heard all about the launch of VB.net, how microsoft had basically changed the framework for its vb programming. And if you read the magazines and you get particularily in this mag programming masterclasses in vb they all use the .Net framework, and as if to add more insult to injury the learning library no longer offers the vb course (going by there new leaflet it is not C and Java) is vb now useless (looks like it).
