"I call Lt. Rotor to the stand"

The courtroom seemed surprised...it was risky to call such a witness, especially with the defense going the way they were. Masonite could only hope that Rotor was a bit more steady then Langston, his case depended on it, otherwise, Dinotron was a free bot. But Masonite had to take the risk.

Rotor gets up from his seat in the courtroom, and quickly makes his way to the front of the court.

"Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?"

"I do"

"Please take your seat."

Rotor took his seat, and looked up at Masonite who approached the witness stand.

"Lt. Rotor, you work in the brig, yes?"

"That is correct"

"And how long have you worked there?"

"About 3 years"

"Have you dealt with prisoners like the defendant before?"

"Several"

"...and have any of them warranted this kind of treatment before?"

"None have tried to escaped on my watch before."

"So this is the first time you've used this tactic?"

"Outside of simulations, yes"

"Simulations huh? So this procedure is given in training to our security?"

"Yes, sir"

"So that would mean this would be that our very good Captain has approved of this tactic to be used in extreme cases?"

"I would think so. Almost all Rugby protocols have been reviewed by the Captain."

The last q/a seemed to strike a chord with the jury...Masonite knew that the Captain agreeing to such a thing might have a positive effect, another seed planted...

"Okay Rotor, why don't you describe the day in question for us, in your own words."
