So are you saying that the American soldiers that have died in battle are representing merely a symbol? That is what you are saying. A flag is just a symbol that we individually give meaning to. To you it means freedom, juststice and the American way but to an Iraqi, the American flag can mean World Domination through imposition, corruption, ignorance, etc etc. There is no meaning behind a flag - it is nothing more than a piece of cloth with colors on it. You are the one who gives meaning to the flag, so if you or anyone are offended by the desecrationo f a flag, then you were asking for it because you're the one that gave a meaning to it. The American flag has no meaning to me. It is just manufactured cloth made in Japan with dye made in the Filippines. I give no meaning to symbols or objects just because the rest of society does.

Remember, if you are offended, then you got exactly what was coming to you through your own projections.
