• He opened the door to her and pulled her in out of the hall with a demanding kiss, a grin flicking at his lips as he pulled back and let her in, greeting Duke affectionately and sharing his cookie with him. "You brought food?" He asked, cocking a brow and looking into the bag curiosuly, driven- as always by his stomach. • She allowed herself to be tugged into the apartment, kicking the door closed behind her with her heel, and seeing that Aaron was on the floor with a quick peek around Andre's shoulder, keeping a close hand on Duke's leash - she handed the bag off to him after returning the kiss. "That's right... I wanted to see you but I just couldn't risk you trying to feed me something else with Vegemite on it, so I thought I could make a peace offering with this stuff. It's Chinese." "I'll put Aaron in his carrier - let Duke off the lead" He nodded towards the dog before lifting his son up off the floor and carfully putting him in the carrier up on the counter of the breakfast bar- out of Dukes reach- though he doubted the dog would do anything. • She was concious of the baby in the apartment all the time but wasn't interested, or eager to hold him or interact with him - she supposed she was mostly afraid of hurting him - she was not the mothering type at all. She smiled and let Duke off his leash so she could bring the takeout cartons to the kitchen. Duke never bothered with the baby either - about as uninterested as Aislinn herself was, so she didn't really worry, but at the same time she did - he was a big dog and it would take nothing but an accidental step to do unintentional damage. She patted the dog's head and let him on his way, heading into the kitchen to get things arranged for them to eat. "Are you hungry now? Cause I'm starving.. and eating whether you're hungry or not. • He grinned at her and nodded , leaning against the counter and watching her "Yeah I'm hungry. I only just got in myself- Donna just left." Donna was the child minder he hired to watch Aaron while he did his training in the mornings. He'd spent the whole time at the gym today, and had finished up with a good spa treatment which left him feeling relaxed and in a great mood. "Wanna drive up the coast a bit this weekend? Theres meant to be some mad waves at dresdans point up north a bit... my mate's got a place up there thats empty at the moment." • She nodded, busying herself with the chopsticks she insisted on eating her takeout with - she was one of the strange few who did. She rolled them between her hands a moment, popping open a box of chicken chow mein. "That sounds good... so long as it's not too cold for you." She teased him endlessly about the cold water - it was only for the hardcore. "Ah, nevermind, doesn't matter how cold it is cause you'll have a heater." She was notoriously warm all the time - a good bedmate this time of year, but pretty rubbish any other time of the year. "Yeah.. we'll bring Donna?" • She took the cartons from him as he handed them over one by one, giving herself more than a generous helping of each and nodded, digging in with the chopsticks - she was quite adept with them. "That sounds awesome. It's about time I took a little vacation, some time off from this strict training regime." She made it sound like a chore but the truth was that surfing was her life so it wasn't as though she was trying to fit it in with a bunch of other things. "I've heard that it's a pretty little town, we'll have to send them out to explore a couple of times too." She, herself had let her mind wander back to the boat more than once in the last weeks - they'd spend the rest of the day in exploration and sheer adoration, each giving the other exactly what they needed. "So have you asked Donna about going to Hawaii?" The move was right upon them, and now she felt better about the whole thing in general. "I thought.. whether she goes or not, maybe I could come down with you for the first couple of weeks anyways to help you settle in, and get a feel for the place, and see what happens after that..." • She nodded, they had discussed the idea of childcare there in Hawaii - she personally thought that Donna was crazy for not taking up the offer to live all expenses paid in Hawaii, but it would take her from being the ever present babysitter to full blown nanny and she wouldn't have much life away from the household. "Silly girl... I'll talk to some friends and get some names before we get down there." She grinned at his mention of all the things in the entrance. "Well, I'm not exceptionally domestic, but I'm sure I'll be able to do a better job putting things together... decoratively than you.. it's a women's intuition thing, I think." • She finished off her plateful and rose from her spot to walk around the island and put it in the sink, pausing on his side of the island for a moment to wind her arms around his waist from behind and press a light kiss to his neck, just affectionate, not naughty. "Hawaii is going to be awesome." She had made up her mind that it would be - who cared if she was away from home, she had more faith in their relationship now than she had previously so the decision was a lot easier. And she didn't want to be either, she turned into the hugest baby when she was sick to her stomach - and usually went home to her mom and dad's house those days, desperate for someone to wait on her and snuggle with her. • She watched him interact with Duke for a minute or two, the large goofy dog sucking up the attention greedily - he had loved Andre from day one, even when Ais herself hadn't been so sure. She laughed a little bit, having a pull from the bottle she'd opened for herself and leaning back against the counter. "You know what I love? That you love my dog. It's like.. he's part of the package, and he's too big to be ignored." • She looked over at the baby who was playing with a ring of plastic keys in his seat beside her and nodded a little bit - she didn't entirely ignore the baby but she just didn't feel any maternal stirrings when she looked at him, and honestly was afraid to touch or hold him, figuring that she would drop or hurt him somehow and not quite ready to live with that on her conscience. It was still strange to think of him as a father though. "Thank you for being patient with me."
